Review: Unforgiven

Unforgiven Unforgiven by Ruth Clampett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unforgiven by Ruth Clampett

Alright my book loving friends, I had the most fun reading this with my best buddy Kylie over at Saucy Reviews on Kinky Korner … a mouth full, right? But another kick ass blog.

My Review

Unforgiven, I’m not sure I can forgive myself for even going on this rollercoaster ride, holy hot cakes book lovers, this book is crazy intense the most genuinely real books I have read in for so long.

Jason and Dean are the bestest of friends, they are more like soul mates they have been in each other’s lives since they were little boys, now they are in college and they are roommates, studying architecture.

Jason, has known all along who he has been attracted to but he’s ashamed and obviously keeping it to himself, he’s just so confused and scared, keeping secrets from his best friend Dean, but at a party Dean stumbles upon Jason getting a blow job from the douche Roman.

Dean is like, The Fudgery!!! and then he’s all like confused and why is best friend with a dude, and he acts like a totally DOUCHE, and literally no joke I hated Dean, ask Kylie she will tell you, from the get go I was not a fan of Dean, but honestly he grew on me and then I was hating on Jason and then I was just a pile of tantrums, and tears. My eyes were leaky a lot, and I was angry and lot.

Over the course of this story you legit go from content, angry, sad, happy, squirmy, content, sad, happy can you see the pattern here? Yup and big old rollercoaster ride of all them feely feels!

Love is Love, Ruth takes Jason and Deans beautiful friendship and turns it into something more, it really is a great story watching them both grow and go through all their emotions.

I found Ruth’s writing to be raw, and honest and all so heartbreaking I didn’t know what I was getting myself into, because I never read the blurb or seen a cover for the book, just a teaser that Kylie showed me; then the next thing I knew; I was like filling the form out to receive an arc.

With Jason having his own secrets and Dean figuring out why all of a sudden he is jealous and angry with Jason, discovering that your best friend his gay and that you might like him as well, my heart was falling apart. But in saying all that I found myself smiling at times, and rooting for the guy I originally hated… I know right! it’s weird when you fall in love with someone you didn’t like. Lol

One thing for sure is that these boys have some SMOKING HOT chemistry that lit my kindle on fire, it’s so hot I at one time was like “Kylie these boys are way too hot, I swear I’m going to have to have a cold shower!” there is plenty of sexy time, that will keep you plenty happy.

The story flows quickly, it reads fast and before you know it you are pacing, crying and maybe throwing your kindle down in a tantrum with the snot and the leaky eyes!

I am going to give it 5 stars, I mean to pull all these crazy emotions from me is crazy! I don’t do angst, and drama I am not one for it, as you all know who follow my reviews, I love rainbows and unicorns and happy funny books, but this was way out of my comfort zone I am so grateful that I got to read it and to read it with my bestie was fantastic.

I hope on release day every one grabs a copy, and buckles in for a bumpy ride.
But before you do any of that make sure you have the following:

-Ice, because it gets scorching hot at times.
-Tissues, because you will need it for the snot and leaky eyes.
-Chocolate, because chocolate!
-Coffee, well because you won’t be able to it down.

Grab all those items and then you can buckle in for a fantabulous bumpy ride, with speed bumps, mountains and a beautiful scenery of two hot boys finding them selves with each other… kind of…

Ehhh good luck, maybe have your best friend on speed dial!

Review: Hole Punched

Hole Punched Hole Punched by Susan Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

HOLE PUNCHED by Susan Renee

It’s hard to write reviews, especially ones that you want people to read and love so that it’ll will make them read about, I guess that’s like blurb to a book, In this case I didn’t even read the blurb to this story I just seen the cover and I knew I just had to have it.

I love covers, some of my favourite covers are the different ones, and this straight up gets two thumbs up for the cover, it has to be the best cover I have giggled about in ages, and to have cat peens on the cover makes it even better, I mean come on! Peens, cat peens… I just had to have it.

I started this book, and legit couldn’t put it down till I finished, I didn’t care what I was doing but knew it was to finish this book, that had me in smiles and giggles from the first paragraph.
Hole Punched, is that book you are looking for that is light on the drama and angst, hilarious rom/com with a good amount of sexy time, if you are wanting all that plus the can’t catch your breath laughing and the funniest words that just make you snort laugh… THIS IS FOR YOU!

“She’s like a walking Las Vegas Strip.”

I can’t even, with the amount of laughing I did reading about Jenna, Jacoby and her best friend Linda, and her sister!

Jenna is the manager at an office store, and Jacoby is the sexy customer that has been lingering around for a whiles now, these two are beautiful together. Jacoby is hiding a secret and Jenna is scared to take a chance together they have a fantastic story. A real funny one, filled with snot laughter and a smile that’ll be plastered to your face.

“You’re a taint- shaver? ....”

I loved everything about this book, great characters. The story was written fantastically that the humour was not forced it was legit funny. I loved that It was told by both of the main characters, I am really hoping there will be another story about Linda and Jack, who is Jacoby best friend!

The smexy time… OH Em G… HOT! There were perfect amounts of sweet and hot, *fans one’s self* thinking back to the scene on top of her car!

"He’s hot in that I’m-not-sure-if-he’s-a-good-guy-or-a-bad-boy-but-either-way-is-okay kind of way."

Susan has written rom/com that makes you want more, when I got to the end I knew I wanted more.

“Come to think of it, neither is looking at a girl in a wet t-shirt, but, you know.” He shrugs. “I wouldn’t want all your customers staring at you all day.”
“Oh? And why not? Because my chest is for your viewing pleasure only?”
“That’s not what I meant, although if you’re offering your chest up to my eyes only I would probably be a fool not to take advantage at least once,” he responds.

You all need this book; it is one of the funniest books I have read in a long time. Susan’s characters pull you into their world, their world of funny situations, perfect blend of romance and comedy with no angst, no drama it is literally the best type of book to buckle up and go for a fantastic ride. Like I said you will laugh until you have leaky eyes!

Review: When Nothing Is All You've Got

When Nothing Is All You've Got When Nothing Is All You've Got by Kirsty Dallas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

mind blown... Epic! This was amazing!

When nothing is all you’ve got by Kirsty Dallas

Hope, is all they have!

“I’m not sure what I have left of a heart, Nada, but whatever I have left is…”

I’m not even sure I can do this book the justice with my simple words in this review I’m typing. When asked to review when nothing is all you’ve got, I was really hesitant, not because it’s a Dystopian cos I love all things para, UF and Fantasy. But because I normally stray away from your darker stories.

But in saying that, WOW wasn't I was hooked from the first 50 words. I was captivated by the next 100 words and by the end of the prologue I knew I wasn’t going to walk away!

“My name is Nada, Which is Spanish for nothing, but there were few who bothered to call me by that title. Most called me ‘girl’ the rest completely ignored me”

The setting of this story is set in the underworld, which is the prison underground. Where you live in a sector depending on the crime you have done, but some have been born there and they are White your Innocents, born tho this shit hell. Blue are your petty crimes, theft, prostitution and vandalism. Yellow is arson, kidnapping, drug related stuff. Red is the worst, Red is murder and rape. I swear it felt like I was watching a movie, or I was watching the show 100, which by the way is AMAZING, have you seen that? Good right!

Anyway, getting sidetracked.

Nada is living in the Red sector, tho she was born an innocent her father is the King of the underworld and he’s a big mean douche, like MASSIVVE DICK I wanted to throat punch him all the time, her mother was a junkie. Nada was thrown away like used trash she killed at the age of 13, trained to work the cage (fighting ring) learnt to fight at a wee age of 5 and unfortunately was raped at the age of 16. This girl’s life has been pretty hard, Nada is fast and deadly in and out of the cage ring too.

I loved reading about her kicking ass!

“He was a rich man in a poor man’s world; therefore, he held all the power”

The king, Kinsley hates her, despises her does not acknowledge her as a daughter, makes her fight the cage, it’s that or the whore pit, he likes to think he owns her. But Nada doesn’t belong to no one. He is secretly afraid of her! He tossed her away when she was a babe, and Nada was raised by Dejon *sigh* the best daddy ever! Taught her to protect herself, taught her to fight. That is how she has survived!

“Yuh wrong. Yuh Nada. Yuh everything.” He pushed my fingers closed, forming my hands into fists. “Move like de wind,” He pressed a kiss to one fist. ”protect yuh face” He kissed my other fist. “Keep yuh eyes on de target” His gaze met mine.an don’t get dead”

*shills* like the Goosebumps!

Shadow, *snap* he was brilliant he was not born in the underworld. Shadow was sent to the underground for murder and is the king’s right hand man, the kings # 1 guard and the assassin, he hides in the shadows, the eyes and ears of the underworld. But there is something about Nada that makes him double think everything he has worked hard for in this new place.

“Nada meant nothing, but for some reason my heart and cock jumped at the mention of that simple, insignificant name.”

Nada and Shadow are drawn to each other their chemistry is epic, a true love story which is slowly built up perfectly, and the sexual tension leaping out from the pages.

“Somewhere deep within my chest didn’t want to see her broken”

Rebels, the rebellion group they want to help the whites, the innocents escape the underground to relocate them in the world above. Kingsley hears the rumours that they are moving against him he makes Shadow do some more dirty work for him.

When I was reading this, I was transported into their world, seriously felt like I was there watching it all happen, fighting for my own life. Right weird I know, but you haven’t read it to fully understand how real this felt!

When nothing is all you’ve got, gave me all the feels, I was going through all the emotions. It was dark but not that dark I was in fetal position rocking myself. Yes there is blood and gore, but there has to be they are living in world that is you stay alive or you be dead. You live in this hell fighting for your live or you work the whore pit.

“There is nothing you can do to me that hasn’t already been done. I’m fucking unbreakable”

Nada had me at the edge of my seat with a lump in my throat, I couldn’t stop reading and I wanted more. This was Dark and moving a compelling believable story that made you feel those feely feels!
Watching Nada and Shadow fall in love, realizing they could lose something in a world where they having nothing, is out of this world amazing. I can’t even explain these two, I seriously felt like I was right there watching them. I loved watching Shadow realize that he loves Nada and goes through so much personal growth to protect what is his!

“She would be his salvation in a world that dint usually offer second chances”

A world with no beauty, sure is beautiful to read about.

“See that girl over my shoulder? That women? Her name is Nada, and she’s fuckin’ mine. If you, or anyone else, so much as touch a hair on her outside the ring, you become mine, and not in a good time, suck my dick kind of way.”

The beast fight towards the end had me pacing while reading, I was beside myself I didn’t want to look away yet I had to pace it out while reading, I was gobbed smacked with tears in my eyes towards the end.

When a book like this makes you do all this, what is there not to love?

“One thing was becoming glaring obvious though: I wanted Shadow, I was his, and I was pretty sure he was mine, too.”

I’m not going to spoil the whole book in my review, this is by far my favorite book by Kirsty Dallas I think this has to be her best work yet!

I haven’t read that many amazing books this year, like 6+ stars… can I make that a rating? Well I just did, this was seriously the book for me to beat this year. The bar has been set!

You know that book you want to re-read all the time, this would be mine alongside my other favorites.

“After the crabs are gone, of course. We can’t have an outbreak of cock rot in the Underworld. Civil war would break out.”

If you go onto Amazon, its only 99cents to pre order! What are you waiting for?

6+++ Stars

Arc Received for an honest review… probably not a long review, but honestly I couldn’t just sum it up two paragraphs! Plus this is my review, my thoughts and opinions, Booklovers you must read this book!

Review: Strong Signal

Strong Signal Strong Signal by Megan Erickson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was given to me as an arc, it took me awhile and some major conversations and convincing from a close friend of mine that I will love this book, and that I should have read this series along time ago, but I am stubborn and I like my little bubble of authors that I love and feel safe reading... well anyway I was blowed or is that blowen meh away and truth is I absolutely loved it!

The writing is fabulous, and the characters are literally perfect, I couldn't not love these two boys anymore!

My one absolute advise would be ...sit on a towel, maybe under a fan... make sure your alone.. buckle up for a smutastic one handed read

Review: The Impossible Boy

The Impossible Boy The Impossible Boy by Anna Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I adored this book, I didn't expect to love it so much!

This was everything and more, Romantic and sweet, but these two men didn't jump into the sack straight away, they took there time. They romances each other with dates, and made a foundation for there strong friendship.

I found there story to be real, yet its not rainbow and unicorns all the way they deal with real issues and my fav not unnecessary drama.

i personally recommend this to everyone to read.

Review: Fast Connection

Fast Connection Fast Connection by Megan Erickson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've spent the better part of my Australia Day reading the Cyberlove series. So I loved the first one, and I really liked this one as well.

Going into this one I knew already it had a little angsty time and I was prepared.

I loved that there hook up turned into much more, I loved there connection, and the way Dominic was.

It took me way longer to warm to Luke. I do love that the age gap was 10-13 years!

Another smutastic read, I was blown away with how much I have found I liked this series!

Received arc for an honest review

Arc received by the publishers.

I read this years ago when Carol was first writing it, when it was called the brick yard!

I can't even explain how truly amazing this story is about Lucky and Dray, Brick and the boys.

So many emotions, it truly is one of Carols best books she has ever written, I loved the new little scenes and the tidy up this book went threw.

You will cry, laugh, snot cry, maybe squirm some and mostly of all you will feel. Every. Single.Feeling possible!

This has been one of my fav books for a long time, and I can't wait for everyone to read it.

I can't wait to see where Carol will take us now that its the first book in the brick yard series!
