A Wild Light by Marjorie M. Liu Review

Hello, Hi *Waves*

Welcome to my little slice of the bookish community.

Today's review will be on book 3 in the Hunter Kiss series by Marjorie M. Liu

BLURB
For too long Maxine Kiss has felt an inexplicable darkness inside her-a force she channels into hunting the demons bent on destroying the human race. But when she finds herself covered in blood and crouched beside her grandfather's dead body with no memory of what happened, Maxine begins to fear that the darkness has finally consumed her.

REVIEW
This is one kick ass series, A Wild Light had so many twist and turns, maybe to many to keep up with but overall i ended up enjoying this story. I am looking forward to the next one, and seeing what comes next for Maxine and her demon boys she loves, and her partner Grant.

Since this is book three, I would highly recommend starting at book 1 and not here, in saying that this review may contain some spoilers.

In a Wild Light, Max has had a great birthday, one she hasn't had in a very long time. But waking up with Jack Meddle's dead body beside her (her pop) the body he was in is now dead, but his "light" is not, its inside some one else. But with all this, she has lost her memory of Grant, he lover, her soul mate, her everything. With the help of some interesting acquaintances, and her boys Zee, Aaz, Raw, Dek and Mal they hope to find the killer and to restore her memory, oh and save the world too!

I have to say so much happened in this book, I was overloaded with information.,and at times I think it was too much. This was apparently meant to be a trilogy so i see where and why she did what she did in this one, but there is in fact 2 other books in the series now. So i am really curious to see what will happen now.

Hmmm lets see so the boys are her tattoos that peel off her at night and become demons, they are the coolest, creepiest little things, and now we know they are actual more then what we thought they were. The are the Reaper Kings!

Again, you need to read this series from book 1 to even understand this review, I think the author did a fantastic job and I really enjoy her way of writing. The reason for my 3 stars, is that I don't think she needed to lose her memory for as long as she did.

Remember this series has it all, Zombies, Avatars, Wardens, Demons, and more.

What I loved was the history, as a reader we found out more about how her family become the Wardens of the demons she carries and what really happened all them years ago. I loved the How and Why's of it all and more of her mother's history. I did miss the romance, between Max and Grant due to the lack of her memory, but it wasn't as bad as I make it out to be.

3.5 Stars
Happy Reading
Ang
