CP Smith is one seriously talented lady...without doubt in my mind I'd say this book is going to get under the skin of each reader....it's raw, it's real and it's honest...5 well earned stars for this awesome read.
Hope is running...running from a past that could kill her if it catches her...she won't let anyone close the fears she has are to strong...the nightmares are very very real. Till fate strolls on in and by fate I mean maman Rose (love that woman beyond words) decides these two are perfect for each other.
Nic is crushed beyond repair after a tragedy tore his life apart...the dark cloak of pain smothers him...the only cure to drink his pain away if only for brief respite...that is till hope is pushed his way....all it takes is one engineered meeting, one small smile and Nic feels that cloak lighten just a little....the struggles this couple will face will leave you feeling like you've been through an emotional wringer....
Beautiful...gut wrenching...soulful...
